SEARCHING FOR QUALIFIED SKATING COACHES
Guelph Ringette is searching for two qualified skating coaches for our Learn-to-Skate and Powerskating Programs.
First Position: October 11,2014 to March 28, 2015
Powerskating Coach for our 'Regional Teams' (approx. 21 Sessions) and our 'Learn-to-Skate Program' (approx. 20 sessions). The programs will take place on Saturday mornings at the West End Recreation Center in Guelph from 8:15am to 9:45am. The first 45 minute session will focus on our 'Regional Powerskating Program' for players 6-11 years old. There are typically 24-28 players on the ice at one time and teams will rotate through this session (players of similar age are on the ice together each week). Our Learn-to-Skate Program follows this session and skating is tailored for players 3-7 years of age. There are approximately 25 children on the ice for each session.
Second Position: September 30, 2014- March 3, 2015
Powerskating Coach for our 'Provincial Teams'. The program is made up of two 1 hour sessions from 7:00-9:00pm on Tuesday nights at the West End Recreation Center in Guelph. This program demands elite skating instruction for our 'rep teams' ages 10-18. Teams will rotate through these two hour sessions with players of similar calibre/age being on the ice at the same time. There is typically 24-28 players on the ice at one time.
If you posses the experience and skill that we are looking for (for either position), please submit your tender, along with your credentials and qualifications to Gary Shaw.
GRA will once again be offering a clinic to Ringette goalies. This session will included an ice session jam packed with skills and drills specifically tailored to Ringette goaltenders. There will also be an off-ice component thereafter to walk the athletes through a routine of goalie stretching, warm-up, and cool down. Goalies will be grouped by age and level of skill and they must all come prepared well nourished with their goalie equipment and water. This is a great time to break in new equipment!

Time: On-ice sessions: 11:15 am to 12:00 noon & Off-ice session: 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm
Arena: West End Recreation Center, Guelph
